About the author

Garry Patricio holds a City of Los Angeles Steam Engineer license, Unlimited Horsepower, and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His career in power and utilities began in the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in the General Electric LM2500 gas turbine. He went on to manage utilities on large base operating support contracts, serving as both utilities manager and contracts manager, and he is CEO of Aerogen Equipment Company LLC.

He wrote this guide because the study material available to candidates was thin, out of date, or written for a single jurisdiction. Every code and jurisdiction fact in it was checked against the official statutes, rules, and codes.
